3/65 Treworlas House and front garden
- wall and fence to south
GV II
House and garden wall to south. Early C19. Slatestone rubble walls, half-hipped,
reconstituted stone roof with brick chimneys over side walls. 2 room, double depth,
central stair plan. 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window south west front. Central
doorway with original 6 panel door (now partly glazed) and pedimented wooden doorcase
with dentils. Original hornless 16 pane sash over. Other windows, slightly wider
with original hornless 20 pane sashes. Much crown glass. Cambered brick arches over
openings. Modillion eaves cornice.
Interior is little altered with original stick baluster, dog leg stair, arched niches
flanking fireplace in left, front room, 2 panel doors with butt hinges and panelled
window jambs.
Semi-circular on plan, granite coped, slatestone rubble garden wall to front. 4 step
rubble mounting block. Rail and dowel, wooden fence and gate.
