The address and the description shall be amended to read-as follows:

Ferryside Cottage

Inn, now house. Probably mid C19 rebuild of earlier Inn. Slatestone rubble with grouted scantle slate roof and brick stacks with paired diagonal shafts over gable ends. Double depth plan. 2 storeys. 3-window east front. Doorway central to fenestration but all grouped slightly to right. Open porch with gable. Wide 3- light casements to ground floor and 2-light casements to first floor, all with glazing bars. Cambered brick arches over openings. External stack to gable end right. Interior not inspected. Was the Ship Inn until 1854. Important scenic position on a wooded spur of land opposite Malpas village.
