4/35 Wall at south and west sides - of Church of St Michael Churchyard

GV II

Churchyard wall and gate piers. Probably circa 1860s. Slate rubble laid vertically in horizontal courses and with decorative circular panels at intervals on south side with slates laid horizontally, vertically and diagonally in herringbone pattern. Gate piers to west entrance are over moulded plinths of an earlier period. Cattle grid is filled in. A pair of upright C19 wood gates with chamfered rails and iron fastenings between the gatepiers to south entrance.
