2. The visible fabric of C18 may incorporate earlier frame. Red brick, of 2 storeys with attics, dormer windowed, behind and through tall parapet. Front of 3 bays and 9-window range, central bay of 5 windows recessed, with stone Ionic porch, pedimented window over, red brick cambered arches and jambs and red brick to principle quoins. Stone eaves cornice is moulded, on modillions, above which are floating projections with Diocletion windows. Roofs hipped and peg-tiled, framed in heavy oak. H-plan: 3 chimney stacks, red brick with octagonal shafts in groups of 3. Inside many C18 details of good quality.
