1/132 Clown headstone approximately - 9 metres south of nave of Church of St Mary

GV II

Head-stone. Dated 1790 in memory of Charles Clown. Limestone. Upright slab standing approximately 1.1 metre high with wave-shaped head. The inscription is flanked by a very low bas relief arch with fluted pilasters and moulded caps. The round arch has a biblical quotation on it and at the apex is a florette. The first word "sacred" is written in Gothic script, the rest in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering and records the death of Charles Clown in 1790.
