ST AGNES QUAY ROAD, SW 75 SW 4/192 Trevaunance House, including gate-piers and flanking walls GV II

House including gate-piers and flanking walls. Circa early C19, possibly a refronting of an older house. Coursed slate killas to the front, otherwise cob and painted rubble. Elvan arches over the openings at the front. Asbestos slate to front of roof, grouted scantle slate at the rear and to lean-to on the right. Brick chimneys over the gable ends. Plan: Double depth plan with 2 rooms at the front flanking a central entrance hall leading probably to stair hall between rear service rooms. Later C19 lean-to on the right. Exterior: 2-storeys. Symmetrical 3-window south front with central doorway. Original door and windows in openings spanned by shallow segmental arches with projecting keystones, 4-panel door with round- arched top panels, overlight, 16-pane hornless sashes. Gateway adjoins at right angles to front corner of house at roadside. Square-on-plan gate-piers flanked by low concave quadrant-on-plan granite ashlar walls with shaped granite copings. Interior: not inspected.
