SW 73 NE PERRANARWORTHAL COVE HILL, (east side), perranarworthal 3/327 Nos 1 and 2

GV II

2 adjoining houses C18 and C19: house C18, and further house, circa early C19 (No 1) attached to left-hand end: No 1 is painted rubble with slate sills and shallow brick arches with half pyramidal scantle slate roof adjoining gable end of original house (No 2). Cast iron ogee eaves gutter. Plan of 2 equal rooms flanking central passage. Symmetrical 2-window west front with central doorway and original 16-pane hornless sashes. Interior not inspected. No 2 is painted rubble with cob to first floor, slate sills and timber lintels. Steep asbestos slate, left, and corrugated asbestos, right, roof, sweeping lower to rear originally thatched, with brick chimneys over gable ends adjoining Nos 1, left, and No 3, right. Cast iron ogee eaves gutter. Plan of 2 nearly equal rooms flanking cross passage leading to central stair between shallower rear service rooms. Nearly symmetrical 3-window south front with central doorway with 4-panel door, later top-glazed. Wide window openings with original C18 3-light casements with 8 panes per light, thick glazing bars, internally ovolo- moulded, and much original crown glass. Interior not inspected.
