GV II
Garden walls, partly surviving from fish cellars. C18. Stone rubble and cob with
scantle slate and clay tile copings.
Plan: on 3 sides of garden to front of Nangitha qv. and around rectangular enclosure
to left. The wall along the west side, built above the quay walling has a row of
beam holes on the landward side, surviving from use as fish cellars with pilchard
pressing floor.
Adjoining former fish cellars at left (not included), known as The Old Pilchard Shed,
have been converted to a house and altered in the C20 but retain some C18 crested
clay ridge tiles.
