GV II
House. Circa late C18. Serpentine and elvan rubble with some cob at rear, slate sills, granite lintels. Wheatreed thatched roof sweeping low over integral rear outshut; rendered brick chimney over left hand gable end, axial brick chimney over cross party wall with No. 4 qv. Double depth plan with integral rear outshut: larger kitchen/living room, left, parlour, right, flanking nearly central former cross passage leading to central stair within outshut and service room at either side. Two storeys. Almost symmetrical 2 window east front plus one window to right belonging to the rear wing of No. 4. C20 2-light casement windows, C20 door in ovolo moulded frame. Rear has 2 small ground floor window openings with wooden lintels over and C20 windows. The stair window tucked under the eaves between is probably original 12- pane 2-light casement. Bread oven projection on left hand gable end. Interior large fireplace in left hand part, some C20 remodelling and renewal of floors and stairs. Said to have some 2 panel doors upstairs, but the first floor not seen.
