3/139 No. 1 Tregoose Cottage - GV II
Farmhouse. Circa late C17 - early C18. Painted rubble and cob walls, slate sills, wooden lintels. Fairly steep asbestos slate roofs with brick chimneys over gable ends left and right, the right hand one over an external breast. T-shaped plan plus later small single storey lean to in rear left hand angle. Probably kitchen in larger room left and parlour right with passage between, leading to stair and pantry in central rear wing, now gable ended but probably originally hipped. Two storeys. Nearly symmetrical 3 window south-east front. Doorway central to fenestration but all grouped slightly towards right. C20 glazed door and circa late C19 - early C20 paired 4-pane horned sashes in original wide window openings. Interior not inspected but said to be structurally old, possibly original. This is probably the former farmhouse of Tregoose farm. The present farmhouse is circa late C19.
