3 cottages. Circa late C17, C19 alterations. Burshill Cottage and Mandalay
whitewashed stone. Easterly Cottage plastered whitewashed cob. Corrugated iron
roof to all 3 cottages, formerly thatched, gabled at ends. Brick chimney at left
gable end, another on ridge and massive projecting stack with off-sets and
rendered brick shaft at right gable end. Cottages of single depth plan. Late C20
rear addition to Easterly Cottage. 2 storeys. Long asymmetrical 4 window range.
C20 front doors to Burshill Cottage and Mandalay under corrugated iron pent roof.
C20 door on front at right to Easterly Cottage under similar pent roof. Windows
throughout irregularly-spaced early C20 2-light casements with glazing bars.
Interiors have sawn ceiling beams. Roofspace inaccessible at time of survey,
1984, said to have pegged trusses. Single storey outbuilding adjoins at left end.
Cottages formerly belonged to Burshill Manor (q.v.).
