ST KEVERNE TREGIDDEN SW 72 SE 3/144 Tregidden Mill 15 1 70 GV II
Water mill, used as store. Circa early C19. Stone rubble with granite quoins and dressings. Brick segmental arches to openings. Hipped slate roof with clay ridge tiles. Almost square in plan. 2 storeys. East front symmetrical. Ground floor, central stable door with 2-light horizontal sliding sash (12-panes) to left and fixed casement window with glazing bars partly filling opening to right. Central opening above. Stone rubble single storey extension with lean-to corrugated roof on right-hand gable end. South side ground rises up to facilitate loading. 4 rubble steps to first floor entrance, partly blocked. To rear, 20 foot hybrid wheel by Holman & Sons Limited, St Just-in-Penwith. Retains complete set of horizontal gearing from its 2 stones together with wooden 'axle-tree' and bearing for water wheel.
