4/18 Barn at approximately 15 metres - south of Rosemerryn House
GV II
Barn and adjoining horse-engine house. Circa early mid C19. Killas rubble with granite dressings. Grouted scantle slate roof with gable end on the left and hipped end on the right. Plan: Rectangular plan barn with square single-storey horse engine house at right angles behind the left-hand side and a later C19 single-storey lean-to behind the right-hand side. Barn has threshing floor towards the left with opposing first floor loading/winnowing doorways. The loft is probably a granary and fodder store over 2 waggon sheds, each with a stable on its left. Exterior: 2 storeys. Virtually unaltered since the C19. Regular north-east front has 4 ground floor doorways: 2 wide doorways and 2 narrow doorways. Only window is a first floor left, a 2-light window with original shutters. 3 loading doorways, over 3 of the ground floor doorways (towards the left and on the right) with original ledged split doors. C20 ledged doors to ground floor openings except for left-hand waggon doorway which has a pair of old windows with hopper top lights. Interior not inspected.
