7/353 Bakehouse, cartshed and former - cottage immediately north west of Trelill Farmhouse
GV II
Bakehouse, cartshed and former cottage. C18. Granite rubble with some granite dressings. Scantle slate roof, small granite ashlar stack over left-hand gable end; very large rubble stack over right-hand gable end. Plan: Rectangular single depth plan with rounded front right-hand corner. On the left is a one room plan former cottage with its entrance on the right; in the middle is a cartshed with chamber or store over and on the right is a bakehouse with chamber or store over. Interior inspection might establish precise function of each part of the building. Exterior: Overall fairly irregular 4 window south-east front with wide approximately central cartshed doorway. 3 window openings on left of this doorway are fairly large and have C20 windows. Other 3 window openings are small and 2 of them have circa early C19 2-light casements with 6-panes to surviving casements. Interior not inspected. The front of this building appears to be unaltered and therefore seems to be a rare survival of an unusual building type.
