GV II
Bank barn. Circa early C19, extended circa mid C19. Killas and granite rubble with granite dressings. Grouted scantle slate half-hipped roof. Plan: Long rectangular range. Original central barn is probably a granary over shippons or stables. Circa early-mid C19 this building was extended at either end: probably waggon shed with flanking stables, with hay loft over, on the left and a deeper plan possibly shippon, with fodder store over, on the right. Exterior: 2 storeys. East north-east front. Original barn has symmetrical front with dressed granite lintel course over the ground floor openings and the granite dressings contrast with coursed killas rubble. There is a pair of central doorways with wide loading doorway over. Doorways at left and right have loadings doorways over. Left-hand barn has wide central doorway with small flanking window and doorways left and right. 2 glazed windows to first floor. Barn front on right is built forward slightly. There is a former doorway on the right and former window (now doorway) on the left with loading doorway over. Some of the openings of this barn range have old ledged doors, first floor doorways have glazed overlights. Interior: not inspected.
