8/7 Piggery and cartshed immediately - south south west of Borease Farmhouse II

Piggery and cartshed range. Circa mid C19. Dressed granite. Grouted scantle slate roof with gabled ends and red clay ridge tiles, raised at intervals as ventilators. The roof at the right end over the cart shed is lower. Plan: Long rectangular range containing 4 stys each with a doorway at the front, and a room at the left hand end with a doorway in the left gable end wall; this room was probably for preparation or a store. At the lower right hand end an integral 2- bay cart shed. Exterior: 4 pigsty doorways at the centre and right evenly spaced and with dressed granite lintels and plank doors. To the left a large 12-pane window with a timber lintel. In the left hand gable end a doorway with a plank door. At the right end an integral 2-bay cart shed with a lower scantle slate gable-ended roof and an open front of 2 bays with a central square granite monolithic post; the right hand bay is slightly wider. Interior: Not inspected.
