GV II

House. Possibly late C16 altered in mid C20. Rendered stone rubble. Slate roof with gable ends. Stone rubble rear lateral stack to left and circa late C16 or early C17 moulded granite shaft to stone rubble end stack on right. Plan: Original plan uncertain. The house possibly continued to the left (north west) and was probably of 3 room and cross or through passage plan with higher end to north west (left) and lower end to south east (right). In C18 or C19 the house was probably divided into 2 dwellings. In circa early to mid C20 the inner room on left was demolished leaving a house of 2 room and cross passage plan; the hall to left heated by a rear lateral stack and kitchen on right by an end stack. Exterior: 2 storeys. The house is built along the slope with the ground rising to left. The windows have been renewed in the mid to late C20. Asymmetrical 2 window front with two 3-light casements on ground floor and 2 casement windows on first floor. C20 partly glazed porch near centre. Lean-to outshot partly rebuilt in mid C20 on right hand gable end. Interior: not accessible at time of survey (1986).
