ST GENNYS CRACKINGTON HAVEN SX 19 NE 5/38 Cleave

II

House, formerly farmhouse. Late C17 early C18 range with circa C19 and C20 additions to rear. Slatestone rubble, partly rendered with slate roofs throughout, main range with roof of stone slates laid in diminishing course south-facing range with chimneys at gable ends; circa C19 wing with half-hipped roof to rear right. Outshut with catslide roof to rear of main range, partly heightened to flat-roofed, 2-storey C20 addition. South front 2-storey, 3 window range with 3 steps up to central modern door. Shallow buttress to right of door. Ground floor windows: left, probably early C19 12 pane sash; right, renewed sash. Upper storey windows renewed sashes under raking roofs projecting slightly above the eaves line. Interior much altered. Ceiling beams with scratch mouldings; massive right gable end fireplace with cambered fireplace beam; smaller granite fireplace at left gable end. Principals visible on upper floor.
