Details
CAMBORNE CHURCH STREET SW 64 SW (south side) 10/41 Tredennick monument beside south side of tower of Church of St Martin and St Meriadocus II Tomb chest. Late C18. Commemorates Hannibal Tredennick (d.1769). Granite ashlar and slate. Simple rectangular chest with a moulded edge to the top, and the south side filled by a slate panel with an elegantly lettered inscription:- HERE Lies the Body of Hannibal Tredennick who departed this life Feb 12 1769 Aged 82 followed by a 4-line verse in cursive script; the name in Gothic script and the whole surrounded by delicate scrolls and flourishes.
