Toll house now private house. Circa early C19. Snecked local stone to front walls and stone rubble side walls, the right hand side elevation rendered and painted. Slate roof with canted end to front. Central brick shaft to axial stack. Plan: Double depth plan with canted front. Central entrance through original porch with 2 principal rooms to front and service rooms to rear. C20 outshut extension across rear. Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 2 window front elevation to road with central Gothic C19 porch of snecked stone with steeply pitched slate roof and gable end with parapet coping to front. Depressed 4-centred blind arch in centre with blind chamfered 4-centred arch above. Entrance in left hand side wall with C19 plank inner door. Canted front wall of main range with C19 2-light casements flanking the porch. C19 2-light casements in side walls and C20 single storey lean-to extension across rear. Interior: Not inspected.
