II
Farmhouse. Circa early C17 extended in mid C19. Rendered and painted stone rubble.
Rag slate roof with gable ends. Projecting stone rubble stack on right hand gable end
with cloam oven projection and smaller C20 brick stack on left hand gable end. Circa
mid C19 range to rear with brick end stacks.
The early C17 range comprises a two room and cross or through passage plan; the hall
kitchen on right heated by an end stack and the smaller, possibly originally unheated
parlour on left. Shallow wing, possibly early C18 added on front left. In circa mid
C19 an addition was built at the back as the new front forming an overall double
depth plan; the mid C19 addition comprised 2 principal rooms on either side of a
central stair hall and the early C17 house probably became the service range. Late
C19 outshot added on right hand gable end of mid C19 addition.
2 storeys. C17 range with a symmetrical single window front. The rag slate roof
continues over the shallow wing on left with C19 2-light casement on ground floor.
Range to right; part glazed door, C19 6-pane sash in half dormer with raking roof.
Range to rear has symmetrical 3-window front with C19 12-pane horned sashes and
central entrance door.
