Details

MADRON SW 43 SE 7/95 Little Kenegie - II Farmhouse. Circa late C18. Granite ashlar front, otherwise granite rubble with granite dressings. Scantle slate roof with brick chimneys over granite stacks at the gable ends. Projecting eaves at the front with moulded wooden cornice. Plan: double-depth plan with parlour left and kitchen right; cross passage between leading to central stair and shallow rear service room at either side. Exterior: 2 storeys. Nearly symmetrical 3 window south front with central doorway. C20 door, C20 porch and circa late C19 or C20 4-pane horned sashes. Circa early C19 or original 16-pane hornless sash to stair at rear. Interior: unaltered plan: original dog-leg stair; bowtell moulded beams in the kitchen and some-2-panel doors.
