Details
HAYLE LETHLEAN LANE, Phillack SW 5638-5738 9/132 The Vicarage - GV II Vicarge. Early-mid C19. Stuccoed walls. Hipped grouted scantle slate roof with external stuccoed stack at left-hand side surmounted by 3 chamfered chimney shafts. Rear wing has chimney over gable end. Wide eaves, cast-iron ogee gutters. Plan:- T-shaped plan plus outshut in rear right-hand angle and single storey wing set back on the right. 3-bay (2 or 3 rooms) single depth garden front with one-room plan wing at right angles to rear middle. Entrance hall at front of rear wing approached from doorway, left, and leading to stair hall behind the front right-hand room. Exterior: 2-storeys. Symmetrical 3 window south garden front with plinth, 3 tall windows to ground floor and 3 square windows above. In front of the middle window are 2 moulded granite steps. Original hornless sashes with glazing bars to all window openings. Irregular 2 window west entrance front has central doorway with distyle Tuscan granite porch, 4 light bay window to ground floor towards left and the end of the garden front projecting on the right. Pair of 2-panel C19 doors with decorated ironwork to overlight. Bay window has moulded cornice to hipped scantle slate roof. Tall sash rising to gabled dormer at first floor left and sash over the doorway set under the eaves. Interior: Not inspected.
