Details
HAYLE ANGARRACK SW 53 NE 4/69 Millbrook House including front - garden area walls and gate-piers
GV II House. Circa early-mid C19. Stucco. L-plan scantle slate roof with 2 gable ends. Brick chimney over the right-hand gable and over the left hand wall. Cast-iron ogee gutters. Plan: L-shaped plan with 2 or 3 rooms in the garden front and 2-room-plan integral rear wing with rear entrance hall at right angles to rear left. Probably later lean- to in the angle behind the right-hand side of the house. Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window south east garden front with no doorway. Original 12-pane hornless sashes. Rusticated quoin strips with alternate quoins vermiculated. Left-hand side wall is 2 window entrance front with C20 6-panel door, far left, and original 12-pane sashes. Interior: not inspected. Probably retains its original features and joinery. Including the front garden area walls of stuccoed stone rubble with granite coping and C20 railings above. To the left a pair of square stuccoed gate-piers with granite pyramidal caps and an ornate iron gate.
