GV II

Mason's yard, carpenter's shop and sail loft, now converted to National Trust shop and restaurant. Circa 1885, remodelled and extended in the C20. Granite rubble and granite dressings. Dry Delabole slate roofs, gable end to front, right, hips at rear. Plan: sloping narrow rectangular cobbled courtyard with buildings on 3 sides and doorway through screen wall on the front (north): single storey open-sided cartshed on left of courtyard, 2 storey building right. Link building with steps at rear, and former sail loft extended C20 at rear right. Exterior : North entrance front with screen wall, left, and 2-storey gable end, right. Courtyard doorway has 2-centred ordered arch. Smaller doorway, left, and gable end has large doorway left of middle and narrow doorway, right. Central first floor loading doorway (now window). Within the courtyard: lean-to cartshed, left, carried on granite monoliths and remodelled former carpenters shop right, most openings with horned sashes with glazing bars. Ledged doors.
