ST ENODER CHAPEL ROAD SW 95 NW (west side) Indian Queens 12/319 Wesley Methodist Church - II
Methodist church. Late C19. Squared granite rubble with stone dressings. Slate roof with crested ridge tiles and gable ends with raised coped verges, finials to front gable end. Plan: Single auditorium plan, with entrance at the front gable end through a porch and ritual east to rear. There is a shallow transept to each side. Gothic style. Exterior: The symmetrical 2-storey front gable end has plinth and buttresses; shallow porch with hipped roof-and gable, moulded trefoil-arched doorway with plank double doors with strap hinges, lancet to each side. Large triple window above with trefoil-headed lights, the central light taller, with colonnettes at the sides of the lights and hoodmould. Breather above. The right side has 3 lancets to left and 2 to right; shallow gabled transept with 2 lancets. The left side has the same arrangement of lancets and transept. Rear gable end has stack with brick shaft. Interior: Not accessible.
