LOSTWITHIEL FORE STREET (north side), SX 15 NW Lostwithiel 10/94 Nos 25 and 26 GV II

Pair of houses, altered as house and shop. Late C18, refronted mid C19, with later alterations. Rendered stone rubble. Asbestos slate roof with gable ends and gable end brick stack to right. Pair of single depth houses, each originally with end entrance to passage and principal rooms back to back at front. Rear service wing to right, largely of C20. 2 storeys; to left a C20 door with overlight leading to internal porch of No 25, C20 shop front to right. To end right, door to No 26. At first floor, three 4-pane sashes; boxed eaves with guttering with lion masks. Interior Much altered in C19 and C20. To the rear of No 25, a straight stair along rear, retaining balustrade at first floor landing, with fine turned balusters and moulded handrail.
