House. Circa 1700 with some C20 alterations. Slatestone rubble, rendered and
painted, asbestos slate roof with gable ends and gable end stack to right, rear
lateral stack to left.
2-room plan, with central passage, the room to left slightly larger and heated by
rear lateral stack, the room to right heated by gable end stack. C19 straight stair
inserted in room to left. Entrance leads to passage. Lean-to, probably of C18,
added for service at left end.
2 storeys, with 2 small casements under eaves and one to right and left of doorway,
all of early C20; half-glazed door to passage and narrow door to left. Single storey
lean-to to left end with 2-light casement to front and slate roof. Right end has
external stack and C20 single storey addition. Rear has very large external
weathered and stepped stack heating room to left. No evidence of a door to rear of
passage. There appears to have been some rebuilding at the front, to the left of the
passage door where the wall is stepped forward.
Interior : Internal walls battered. Room to left has rear fireplace with plain C19
mantel. Room to right has 2-panelled shutters to window.
