Details

ZENNOR TREMEDDA SW 43 NE 4/316 Tremedda (west) (formerly listed as Little Tremedder) 10.6.54 GV II Farmhouse. Probably C17 or C18, partly rebuilt and eaves heightened possibly circa 1910. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Grouted scantle slate roof with dressed stone stacks over the gable ends. Plan: 2 room plan; parlour left, with original thick walls front and part of rear and hall/kitchen, right, built on lower ground, now 1 room. 2 bay open-fronted C19 cartshed adjoining far right. Exterior: 2 storeys. Nearly symmetrical 3 window east north east front with central doorway. C20 door, circa early C20 6-pane horned sashes. Coped gable ends built over. Interior: original fireplaces partly blocked at either end. Part of an unspoiled coastal hamlet set in the ancient field system of this part of Cornwall.
