MADRON MADRON SW 43 SE 7/154 Bodilly chest tombs at - approximately 3 metres south of porch of Church of St Maddern GV II Cluster of 4 chest tombs. Early C19. Large chest to Margaret Bodilly, wife of R H Bodilly of Penzance, died 1826 aged 26, also to : R H Bodilly, son, died 1830 aged 32 and Ralph H Bodilly, died 1853, aged 88. Chest on left (north) to: R Millet, died 1826 and Ann Towers, died 1830 and 2 others with indecipherable inscriptions. Granite ashlar. Incised slate slabs. Rectangular-on-plan chests: 2 at right angles to each other and 2 in the angle behind.
