II

Former farmhouse and adjoining barn. Dated and inscribed over cross-passage entrance R. & S.G. 1716; barn partly rebuilt and extended in late C18. Painted sandstone rubble. Graduated greenslate roof with bottom courses of sandstone slates. Sandstone-slate roof on barn, with Welsh slate on barn extension. 2-storey, 2-bay house with lower L-shaped barn to right. C20 door in chamfered surround under dated and inscribed lintel. Ground floor 2-light flat stone-mullioned window, formerly of 4-lights, and similar 2-light window to left and above, all with C20 casements. Blocked fire window left of entrance and upper-floor left Yorkshire sash, replacing 2-light stone-mullioned window. Interior has heck partition and fire beam. Stone steps to first floor, in outshut to rear. Barn has plank doors and lofts, slit vents and 2 small windows. Large projecting cart entrance to right. Extension has plank door and small opening above. Corrugated woodshed adjoining is not of interest. Single-storey outbuilding to left of house is not of interest.
