5/27 Blackdyke Farmhouse and adjoining barns (not to be confused with farm of same name to west) II
Farmhouse and adjoining barns. Mid or late C18. Cement rendered walls. Graduated greenslate roof; rendered and brick chimney stacks. Barns of English garden wall bond brickwork; Welsh slate roof. 2-storey, 2-bay farmhouse with lower 2-bay extension to right; L-shaped barns of lower roof line adjoining to left. 6-panel door in pilastered surround with entablature and pediment. 2-pane sash windows in painted stone surrounds. Extension: plank door in painted stone architrave; sash window with glazing bars to right in painted stone surround. External stone steps at extreme right lead to loft door of former granary. Barns: large projecting cart entrance. Ground floor plank doors and similar loft doors above.
