Details
ST GORAN GORRAN HIGHLANES SW 94 SE 3/124 Tregonan - GV II
House. Early - mid C19, with additions of later C19 and C20 alterations. Slatestone rubble with brick dressings. Slurried slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. Gable end stacks with brick shafts. Partly rendered and slate-hung. Plan: Two-room plan, with central entrance to a passage with a stair hall at the rear. Room to right and left, each heated from a gable end stack. At the right end there is a small 2 storey addition, said to have been a carpenter's workshop, with an external stair leading to the loft. To rear left is an addition of early C20. Exterior: 2 storeys, a symmetrical 3-window front. Ground floor has central C20 glazed door; C19 16-pane sashes with timber lintels. The addition to right is 2- storey, with hipped roof. Rendered at ground floor and slate-hung above. The left end of the house is rendered, with C20 conservatory, inner C20 window and door at ground floor. The right end of the addition has two C20 12-pane windows at ground floor, slate-hung at first floor with two small C20 2-light 6-pane casements; the rear of the addition has external stone stair leading to C20 door to the loft; the upper level is slate hung. The rear of the main house C20 3-light 6-pane casement at ground floor to left, with timber lintel; at first floor to left a 16-pane sash and to centre a C19 plate-glass and 8-pane sash lighting the stair. To right is the C20 addition, single storey, Interior: Not inspected.
