Details
LOWESWATER LOWESWATER NY 12 SW 13/177 Kirkhead House and 3-3-67 barn adjoining(previously listed as "Kirkhead") II House and integral barn. Mid C18. Roughcast walls with eaves cornice and V-jointed quoins on chamfered plinth. Graduated greenslate roof, hipped at left, with cement rendered chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays with left single-bay extension under common roof. Recessed panelled door in stone architrave under shell hood with shaped cornice. Sash windows with glazing bars in painted stone architraves. Extension has small casement window in plain reveal under sash window with glazing bars in painted stone architrave. Rear has round-headed stair window with intersecting-glazing-bar head. Rear of barn extension has outshuts and upper plank doors under projecting hood. Further single-storey left pent extension.
