DEAN EAGLESFIELD NY 02 NE 8/112 Friends' Meeting House G.V. II 3-3-67
Friends' Meeting House now private house. Inscribed over entrance JOHN BARN GAVE 40£ TO BUILD THIS HOUSE 1711; WITH C20 restoration. Painted roughcast walls, under rebuilt graduated greenslate roof with C20 roof lights; brick chimney stack. Single storey, 3 bays with integral former stable. C20 door in original stone surround and C20 casement windows in 2-light stone-mullioned frames. Further left C20 door. Rear has slated C20 porch and similar 2-light windows. Former stable now with garage doors. See D.M. Butler, Quaker Meeting Houses of the Lake Counties, 1978, pp57-60.
