DEAN EAGLESFIELD NY 12 NW 9/118 Summer House; garden wall and gateways (previously listed with Moorland Close Farmhouse) G.V. II 3-3-67
Summer house, garden wall on 4 sides and gateways. Mid or late C18 with C19 alterations. Rusticated ashlar gate piers, rubble wall with saddle-back coping (but one wall rebuilt in brick); summerhouse of brick with V-jointed quoins on rusticated ashlar basement, all under pyramidal graduated greenslate roof. High wall with internal bee-boles. The principal gateway of square piers is opposite the summer house. Side gateway has plain opening. Summer house has ground-floor blocked segmental arches on each face. External side steps to C20 door in alternate-block surround. Sash windows in stone surrounds. Listed for group value with Moorland Close.
