Former smithy. Probably late C18. Mixed limestone and cobble rubble walls
under graduated greenslate roof with central square vented cupola. Single
storey, 2 bays. Central large segmental-arched doorway and right C20 window in
C20 opening. Right lean-to extension with plank door. Left gable wall facing
road has blocked stone-surround doorway. Marked on the 25" OS map as smithy.
Has group value with Sawmill Cottage.
