School, now private house. Dated and inscribed over door DACRE SCHOOL BUILDED 1749. Roughcast walls under graduated greenslate roof with cement rendered brick chimney stack. 1½ storeys, 2 bays. 2-light chamfered stone-mullioned windows under continuous quarry-faced hood. Right return wall has plank door in painted chamfered stone surround, under sash window in painted chamfered surround. Was endowed for the instruction of 4 poor girls, hence its small size. Has group value with Horse and Farrier Inn.
