Formerly the Agent's house for Levens Estate, now 2 houses. Main part of Lawrence House apparently rebuilt on earlier cellars following a fire in 1708; remodelled and extension (now Levens Brow) added to South probably early C19; North wing added c1910. Stone rubble walls, part rendered; graduated greenslate roof. 2 ridge chimneys and one eaves chimney, all with round shafts, to Lawrence House; 2 ridge chimneys each with 4 joined round shafts and one eaves chimney with paired round shafts to Levens Brow. Double depth plan. 2 storeys. Lawrence House: 4 windows, all C19, one 3-light stone mullioned-and- transomed window with hoodmould to each floor at right, the rest casements; 4- panelled door. Levens Brow: 2 windows, all C19 2- or 3-light stone mullioned- and-transomed with hoodmoulds and decorative leaded glazing. Gabled stone porch with 6-panelled outer door and heavy 6-panelled inner door with leaded glazing to upper panels. Interior of Lawrence house has chamfered beams and board doors, Levens Brow has original C19 interior virtually complete including panelled doors and surrounds, cornices and staircase.
