SD 49 SE UNDERBARROW AND BRADLEYFIELD 1/46 Barn to North East of Tranthwaite Hall Farmhouse
G.V. II
Barn. L-shaped. C18 and C19. East wing earliest. Stone rubble walls with limestone quoins, Graduated slate roof with stone ridge tiles. Eastern wing a mixture of boulders and roughly squared rubble with protruding through stones. Northern part forms a bank barn parallel to the contours with threshing floor over stables and cowhouse. Winnowing door roundheaded with surround of cut voussoirs. Continuous slated canopy shelters cowhouse and stable doors. Eastern part forms a bank barn at right angles to the contours with hay barn to upper part and cowhouse below entered from gable end. Lean-to with corrugated iron roof not included in listing.
