1872. Farmhouse of complex plan. Two storeys. Tudor Gothic. Coursed limestone
rubble with sandstone dressings. Slate roof. Two chimneys. Several gables with
bargeboards and finials. Windows mostly of two arch-headed lights with labels. Two
canted bays with hipped roofs. All windows with Gothic glazing bars. Tudor doorway
in canted porch. Over it a plaque with date and raised Bective monogram. Door with
ornamental hinges. Coach-house attached left hand side with segmental arched
openings. Attached by a wall to right hand side an octagonal game larder with steep
roof. Lead flashings and central wooden louvre. Tudor mullioned and transomed
window.
