Cottage, formerly public house, early C17. Oak small framing with diagonal braces under eaves, brick-nogged except in gables; clay tile roofs. 1 storey plus attic; left wing of 2 rooms; projecting right cross-gable. Sandstone plinth; partly rendered; oak boarded door on ornate hinges of Arley estate type and with Arley latch. Small-pane replaced casements of C19 vernacular type; oak finial on cross-gable; eyebrow dormer with swept tiling; blocked 4-light mullioned window by corner of cross-wing; square 4-flue chimney on ridge over junction of wings; lateral chimney of 1 flue at front left corner. Interior: Brick barrel-vaulted cellar with cobbled floor partly replaced in stone flags; oak frame substantially complete; a little wattle-and-daub; inglenook bressumer of oak; broad-board oak doors, some probably C17; old hinges.
