SOCKBRIDGE AND TIRRIL CELLERON NY 42 NE 3/184 South Celleron Farmhouse and attached barn - - II Farmhouse and barn. Early C18 with later additions. Stone rubble, the house roughcast with ashlar dressings; slate roofs. Central entrance plan. North-east elevation of 2 storeys and 3 bays, lean-to outshut and attached barn running to north-east. Coped gables with kneelers (front only). Windows have small-paned glazing; 3-light windows with flat-faced mullions in chamfered reveals, but central 1st floor window is square with architrave. Entrance has architrave, pulvinated frieze and cornice; 4-panel door with top light. Gable-end stacks have cornices. Outshut has plain entrance and end stack. Barn north-west elevation has 2 entrances with chamfered reveals, one new window, and elliptical-headed barn entrance with keystone. Square ventilation holes below eaves. South-west elevation has outshut under catslide roof and gabled wing projecting beyond return. Wing has remains of dripstone and corbelled gable-end stack. Casement windows, one small-paned, and horizontally sliding sash with glazing bars. Entrance adjacent to return. Outshut has 2-light flat-mullioned stair window; return has window with small-paned glazing and triangular-headed window above. Return lean-to outshut has plain entrance. South-east elevation of barn is blind, with attached lean-to privy, the seat with 2 holes. Interior not inspected, but stair probably has splat balusters.
