Detached house. Circa 1840, altered 1920s. Limestone, ashlar, hipped Welsh slate roof with gable end brick stacks. Two-storey, 3-window. Central Tuscan porch up stone steps with 6-panelled door with semi-circular fanlight, early C20 two-storey square bay either side with 4-light ovolo-mullioned casements to ground and first floor, plat band to first floor and 3-light ovolo-mullioned casement to centre. Moulded stone eaves cornice to plain blocking course, chamfered rusticated quoins. Left return has 16-pane sashes. Right return has 12-pane sashes. Rear has flanking wings with sashes, C20 conservatory to centre with 6-pane sash over. Interior partly refitted early C20 with Tudor-arched stone fireplace in drawing room, stick balusters to stairs replaced with serpentine splat balusters. Original fittings include 6-panelled doors in moulded architraves, wreathed moulded handrail to stairs, painted marble fireplace in dining room, window shutters. Classical house with successful vernacular modifications.
