7/17 Arundell Farmhouse

GV II

Coaching inn, now farmhouse. Early C19. Flemish bond brick front with stone quoins, rubble stone returns, Welsh slate hipped roof, brick stacks. Square plan with rear service wing. Two-storey, 3- window; sashes. Central double 6-panelled doors in pedimented porch on plain stone columns, canted bay either side with 16-pane sashes. Plat band to first floor with 16-pane sash either side of 12-pane sash. Right return has three 12-pane sashes and large 18- pane sash lighting stairs, plat band and sash to first floor. Left return has gabled porch with segmental-headed planked door to cellars, sashes to ground and first floors. Rear 2-storey service wing with sashes and attached outhouses including former brewhouse. Interior has 6-panelled doors in moulded architraves and stairs with stick balusters, large cellars. Formerly the Glove Inn.
