5/56 Dairyhouse Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. Circa 1700. Dressed limestone, concrete tiled roof, formerly thatched, gable-end brick stacks. Gable end to road: 2- storey, 3-window front at right angles to road. Central planked door in chamfered stone case, recessed chamfered side-lights either side and 3-light mullioned windows. Basement has 2-light mullioned window to right. First floor has central 2-light mullioned window with 3-light mullioned window either side. Right return has blocked 1-light chamfered window to first floor and 2- light mullioned window to attic. Rear has C19 hipped porch with margin-pane half-glazed door, either side is 3-light mullioned window, first floor has central 2-light and 3-light mullioned window either side. Interior has chamfered beams and open fireplace with chamfered lintel. Attached to left is single-storey extension with C20 door.
