Details
SP 9433-9533 WOBURN BEDFORD ROAD (East Side) 8/80 23.1.61 Nos 5 and 6 (La Cantina Restaurant) GV II Earlier C18 and C19, encasing an earlier structure. Red brick mottled with some flared headers, No 5 colourwashed. No. 6 apparently encases some timber framing. Slate roof to No. 5, clay tile roof to no. 6. No. 5: 3-storeyed single bay surmounted by pedimented parapet with segmental arched recess. Ground floor has late C19 shop front with C20 glazed door to LH. First and 2nd floor each have tripartite sash with glazing bars under flat head. No. 6: 2 bays, 2 storeys and attics. Ground floor has late C19 shop front to RH and lower carriage arch to LH, both with panelled pilasters. First floor has one single sash, one blind window and one tripartite sash, all under segmental heads. Both sashes have glazing bars and wide wooden cases almost flush with wall. Attic has box dormer containing 2-light casement with glazing bars. Timber modillion cornice to eaves. Variety of brick chimney stacks.
