House. Early C18 with alterations and additions dated I&AP (Pearson) 1790 over
side entrance. Cement roughcast walls under graduated greenslate roof with
cement rendered chimney stacks; extension of similar materials but with
V-jointed quoins and eaves cornice and coped gables with kneelers. Original
house 2 low storeys, 4 bays with higher 2 storeys, 3 bays at right-angles
forming overall L-shape. Original house has plank door in painted stone
surround with dated and inscribed lintel. Further left plank door in plain
opening under slate hood. Flat stone 2-light mullioned windows those at left
with 18-pane casements; one enlarged sash window with glazing bars in painted
stone surround. Extension has top-glazed panelled door and overlight in painted
stone surround. Sash windows with glazing bars in painted stone surrounds.
Right return wall has large round-headed staircase window.
