6/81 Penny Hill Windmill
II
Tower mill. 1826-7, late C19. Red brick. No roof. 6 storeys including late C19 top storey. North side with steps leading up to doorway with double doors. 4 glazing bar windows one above the other, above. Doorway to north-west with double doors. West side with blocked window opening, and 3 glazing bar windows, one above the other, above. South side with 5 glazing bar windows, one above the other, but with the third and sixth floor windows now blocked. East side with 5 glazing bar windows one above the other. All openings with segmental heads. No milling machinery survives internally. Source: P. Dolman, p,19.
