Details

CHAGFORD HIGH STREET, (north side), SX 7087 Chagford 6/123 Illegible headstone approximately - 5 metres south of tower of Church of St Michael GV II

Headstone. Dated 1732. Granite ashlar. Upright slab with round head standing approximately 600mm high. On the front the head contains a stylised winged cherubs head in low relief. The lettering is plain upper and lower case but is worn and barely legible. The name of the buried person cannot be read but he or she died in 1732.
